Trout and Smallmouth Bass
May-October
Trout fishing on the Grande Ronde river during the summer months can be a great adventure. The average size of rainbow trout are 8-14", with a good number of fish in the river system. Variying methods, of flies, lures and bait all work well.
Smallmouth bass on the Grande Ronde are abundant in numbers with the average size fish 14", and some real trophies, lurking in the pools. Gear fishing is the most effective, however, catching smallmouth bass on a fly is an exhillaritaing experience.
